Narrowboat Insurance

A narrowboat is defined as a craft used on UK inland non-tidal waters for private and pleasure use, normally with a 6ft 10ins beam and up to 71 feet in length - speed not to exceed eight knots.

Cover includes:

• Loss or damage caused by accidental damage, fire, theft, malicious damage and negligence.
• Hull cover; superstructure; fittings; machinery and equipment.
• Existing - but hidden - defects in the vessel or machinery.
• Theft of machinery such as generators
• Third party liability cover for £3m.
• Attempted or raising, removal or destruction of vessel wreckage - or any neglect or failure to raise, remove or destroy the wreck.
• Use on inland waterways including interconnecting tidal waters.
